Teams
Renegades High School Hockey is a combined school team. We field players from Addison Trail, Fenton, Montini Catholic and Willowbrook High Schools. Registration will follow all AHAI (American Hockey Association of Illinois) guidelines. This 2023-2024 Season we will again be playing in the Illinois Suburban High School Hockey League with playoffs and the Illinois State Blackhawk Cup. Tournaments are played and have yet to be determined. Our Varsity team players are members for the combine schools that make up our club.
We are happy to announce that Coach Matt Benton will continue with us for the 2023-2024 season as our Head Varsity Coach. Coach Benton has been with us for 11 seasons and has brought our Varsity Team deep into Illinois State Playoffs every year. The Renegades won the 2017 Illinois State Combined Varsity Championships under Coach Benton. Coach Benton has 6 Hayes Suburban League Championships (Cougar Cup) to his credit as well and, was named the Suburban Division Coach of the year in 2017. James McLaughlin will be our assistant Varsity Coach this season. Coach McLaughlin lead our JV team to the Suburban League Championship (Hayes Cup) in 2020 and the JV North Central Silver Division Championship this past 2022-2023 Season!
Practices and Home Games will be at the Addison Ice Arena and Center Ice of DuPage - please keep an eye on schedule.
